It is a “must-see documentary”. Humanity is sitting on a ticking time bomb; this is how Al Gore sees the actual state of Planet earth. The Inconvenient Truth is the fascinating story of former Vice President Al Gore, who became interested in this startling issue while at college 30 years ago, and now devotes his life to reversing global warming.
In addition to the climate change dimension in the movie, Gore argues that there is a lot of misinformation out there about global warming, some of it spread willfully by certain people in positions of power. The other main sensitive issue that the director dealt with is the relationship between climate change (global warming) and industrial activities. Other movie suggestion: The day after tomorrow.
Many individuals still think that global warming is in no way linked to human activities.

C’est un documentaire à voir absolument. L’humanité repose sur une bombe à retardement; c’est comment Al Gore voit l’état actuel de la planète terre. « Une vérité qui dérange » est l’histoire fascinante de l’ancien vice-président Al Gore, qui s’est impliqué il y a 30 ans de cela dans ce débat important, et consacre maintenant sa vie à combattre le réchauffement climatique.
En plus de la dimension des changements climatiques traités amplement dans le documentaire, Gore stipule qu’il y a beaucoup de désinformation sur sujet du réchauffement climatique, dont une partie imposée obstinément par certaines personnes en positions de puissance. L’autre question sensible que le producteur a présentée est le rapport entre les changements climatiques (réchauffement climatique) et les activités industrielles.
Beaucoup d’individus pensent toujours que le réchauffement global n’est nullement lié aux activités humaines.

The movie/doc would have been a much more success if Gore was not the main character. his aim at the ‘people in power’ is politically motivated. rumors has it that he’s using this movie as ticket to come back to the presidential race…
In the US, the environment is still ‘unfortunately’ on the back burner.
Though i recommand both movies (i just watched thew new one yesterday at home)…aside from the special effects, they seem to portray the future in a somewhat accurate way. althought the word accurate is pushing it since we don’t know really what the impact of GW would be on the long term.

To work for the next presidency on not, this is America we want.
At the same time, I recommend, the Tunesian Eco-Doc-Film of Fitouri Belhiba ” Sacrées bouteilles ” which gives a “Global oxygenation” in huamn brains.

Mohsen, i dont understand ur point “this is america we want” ? u don’t want the current america to perpetuate, trust me on that ! the neo-cons are not friendly to the env at all.

I am not an americanologist, but it seams that Al Gore could have done better in terms of peace…and at least ecology.
Again, above, politics, the situation can not be worst then what it is. That’s why I said ” This is America we want” the America caring about humans and global problems, rather then creating them.
They nead a “Global oxygenation”.
